Ligñon Hill is one of Legazpi City’s famous landmarks. It is a 156 meter high hill that sits in the cen. Sightseers, adventurers and even fitness buffs jaunt to the city’s prime destination. Ligñon Hill Nature Park offers a wide variety of activities for visitors depending on their interests.

A 360 degree panoramic view of Legazpi City, Daraga, Albay Gulf and the Mayon Volcano await the sightseers. The best time to mount the hill is at early morning before the sunrise viewing the golden sun rays stretching towards the vista or during the evening before the sunset taking pleasure in the beauty of the city’s sparkling lights.

Stunning sights are given in nature parks but what does Ligñon Hill Nature Park offer aside from the said landscape? It offers a 320 meter zip line that allows the bold and daring to soar through the air harnessed to a cable. Also other extreme sports such as hiking, biking, rappelling and paintball are few of the activities the nature park caters.

The Lizard Grip Trail, an exceedingly steep shortcut to the summit of Ligñon Hill, gives a quick preview of climbing Mayon Volcano. This trail is travelled through for about 5-10 minutes.

The Japanese Tunnel used during World War II is also one of the park’s features. This 50 foot long tunnel allows visitors to have a soldier like experience.

Legazpeños (refers to the people of Legazpi) boast of the Ligñon Hill Nature Park. Its protection for the city over the Mayon Volcano gives it more beauty to the people who reside around it. Indeed Ligñon Hill becomes more and more beautiful each passing year.
