I stayed for one week at the Astoria Plaza in a 2 bedroom suite with 3 friends just over a month ago. We were treated very well by the staff. It only took one call to the front desk and they immediately sent someone to assist us when we encountered issues with the wifi, the bedroom AC and the bathroom exhaust. The living room, dining room, bedrooms and kitchen were spacious enough to allow us to host a party with 10 guests. The rest of the days, we spent at the pool and the gym furnished with the latest equipment. We didn't have trouble getting the stuff we needed during our vacation since the place was just a few blocks away from the malls, supermarkets, restaurants and laundry shop. There was a convenience store right beside the hotel entrance. The only thing that annoyed us was the traffic congestion around the area. Otherwise, I'd say that my Astoria vacation was truly enjoyed.
I stayed here for five nights and couldnt have been more happy. The staff is very efficient and courteous. The check-in was very smooth - still staying here so cant comment on check-out. Its an all apartment/suites hotel and every apartment has refrigerator, basic kitchen stuff and a microwave. The apartment are well sized and are cleaned daily. The amenities are perfect with a LCD and also a DVD player. One can get good views of the city from the apartment. The room is also pretty efficient but there are only limited options on the menu. The hotel is the located centrally in the Ortigas business district so is well suited if your work is in this side of the town. The breakfast spread was basic (not lavish) but the staff was very efficient. There are some restaurants nearby (check with the receptionist and she will guide you well) for lunch/ dinner. Better to have lunch/ dinner in one of the nearby places as its not the best in the hotel. For the price and comfort of stay, this is a good hotel. Overall, I am happy with my stay and will surely consider it again when I am in Manila.
